Audio Objects (retired)

Session-layer audio objects — sounds placed on the score from a GUI editor and stored in the project's audio-objects.json — have been removed. Sounds are DSL objects in the score now: make them with the DSL inspector (Create, or Record into score) and edit them there like any other cue. Everything the old objects did — playback clients, shared clicks, client-list targeting, mute, extent, bulk edit — DSL sounds do too. See audio shared features and Who Plays It.

Moving old projects over

Oscilla no longer loads, plays or saves audio-objects.json. When it opens a project whose file still has entries, the server prints one line:

[audio-objects] <project> has N session audio objects; run scripts/migrate-audio-objects.mjs <projectDir> to move them into the score

Run the script on the project folder:

node scripts/migrate-audio-objects.mjs ~/oscilla-projects/<project>

It backs up score.svg and audio-objects.json to migration-backup-<date>/, puts each object into the layer Audio (migrated) as a DSL sound — same place, size, uid and playback clients — empties audio-objects.json, and writes MIGRATION-NOTES.md listing what each object became and what to check. Add --dry-run to see what it would do.
