Session Layer

The session layer encompasses features that operate on top of the score during rehearsal and performance. These are per-performer tools that require no SVG authoring -- they work with any score, or even with no score at all.

The playhead provides a configurable look-ahead window that performers can adjust based on notation density and personal preference. Instrumental parts allow performers to highlight their own material while keeping the ensemble context visible. Annotations provide a text-and-audio compositional layer created directly in the browser, from simple rehearsal notes to executable audio triggers. Freehand drawing, drop markers, and sequence timers offer further ways to sketch structure onto a shared timeline without interrupting the flow of a rehearsal or performance.

Together, these tools form a flexible interaction surface that sits between the authored score and the live performance moment.
